Our Story

The doors opened to Hereward Curtain Company for the very first time nearly 4 decades ago in 1980. With premises located in the centre of the historic cathedral city of Peterborough, we very quickly established a reputation for providing a quality service with products to match. Over time, clients tastes and requirements changed from “off the shelf” ready made curtains to tailor made bespoke designs. This shift necessitated the need for additional space to display a more extensive variety of fabrics and other window treatments which took Hereward Curtain Company to St David’s Square just outside the city centre for 5 years before taking ownership of a brand new premises in Challenger Way where we have now been operating from for nearly 15 years.

As a second generation family business Hereward Curtain Company pride ourselves on customer service and the significant number of loyal returning customers is testament to the standards and principles we adhere to. Our quality service has rewarded us with commissions throughout the UK and Europe but our core business is to service local customers, recognising that everyone is equal and deserves to be attended to with the same respect, consideration and care.

These principles are a legacy from the first generation and are the foundations to the quality of service that Hereward Curtain Company will commit to and uphold for the next 4 decades…..and beyond.
